PanOncology Research Foundation

Empowering Cancer Research Innovation, Education, and Hope

The PanOncology Research Foundation was created to expand cancer research and education opportunities in Puerto Rico and across the Caribbean.

Our mission is to foster collaboration, accelerate innovation, and improve access to cutting-edge cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment programs.

Our Mission

The purpose of the Foundation is to support research and educational initiatives that transform cancer care for Hispanic and Caribbean communities. Specifically, we aim to:

Research, educate, and raise awareness on cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment.

Create forums and partnerships that improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their families.

Collaborate with local and international cancer-focused organizations in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, the U.S., and Latin America.

Seek funding from foundations, federal agencies, and corporations to strengthen cancer research capacity on the island.

Expand access to clinical trials in prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship.

PROGRAMS AND INICIATIVES

Internship Rotations & Clinical Shadowing

The Foundation provides students and early-career professionals with hands-on exposure to oncology research and clinical practice. Participants gain real-world experience in precision medicine, research coordination, and patient-centered care.

Multi-Specialty Tumor Boards (with CME Credits)

We host regular multidisciplinary tumor boards where oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists discuss complex cancer cases. These sessions offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits and foster collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Educational YouTube Channel — PanOncology Talks

Through PanOncology Talks, we bring together research and real-life stories. Our educational video series features expert interviews, patient testimonials, and scientific insights, helping to demystify cancer care and highlight new therapeutic options available in Puerto Rico.
